Pedro and Arna create something truly special together. Their retreats are held with intention, sensitivity, and a beautiful sense of balance that makes people feet safe, supported, and genuinely connected. I had the opportunity to participate in their Ecuador retreat, where they guided both mushroom and San Pedro ceremonies with care, presence, and deep respect for the process. What stood out most was the energy they bring as a couple: calm, genuine, and aligned. It's rare to find facilitators who can combine professionalism, warmth, and authenticity so naturally. I'm deeply grateful for the experience and would wholeheartedly recommend their work to anyone seeking meaningful inner exploration and connection.

Ivan Navarro

Ivan Navarro Jara is an elder and keeper of an ancestral path of healing, carrying forward a lineage gifted to him by his grandfather Benigno. From an early age, he was guided not only by his grandfather’s wisdom, but also by the living spirit of aguacolla and other sacred plants of the Andes-teachers that opened the doorway to a lifelong journey of service, learning, and devotion.

For over 40 years, Ivan has walked this path across the lands of Bolivia, Peru, Guatemala, and Ecuador, receiving teachings from men and women of medicine who entrusted him with their knowledge, prayers, and traditions. Today, Ecuador is the land he calls home, where his work continues to deepen in connection with the earth and its people.

Within Indigenous communities, he is recognized as a Tayta, a Yachac, and a spiritual guide-titles not claimed, but earned through humility, commitment, and lived experience. His presence carries the  essence of the Andes: grounded, wise and deeply connected to the unseen.

Ivan guides sacred Andean ceremonies, temazcal rituals, and power walks-each one an invitation to return. To return to the body, to the heart, and to the spirit. His work is not about fixing, but about remembering: remembering who we are beneath the noise, beneath the wounds, beneath the stories we carry.

Those who walk with him often describe the experience as both grounding and transformative-a space where physical healing meets spiritual awakening, and where each person is gently guided back to their own inner wisdom.

Through fire, earth, prayer, and silence, Ivan holds a space where healing unfolds naturally, honoring each individual’s path while reconnecting them to something greater than themselves.

His mission is simple, yet profound: to serve as a bridge between ancient wisdom and modern life, between the visible and the invisible, between where we are and who we are meant to become.

The Spirit of Sacha Wasi

Sacha Wasi, meaning “House of the Forest,” represents a living ancestral tradition rooted in the Ecuadorian Amazon. Guided by the wisdom of the Kichwa people, their path is one of deep connection with nature, where the forest is seen as a teacher and healing is understood as a return to balance between body, spirit, and earth.

For generations, their elders have preserved sacred practices-plant medicine ceremonies, prayers, cleansing rituals, and teachings from the jungle-carried with humility, respect, and devotion. These are not performances, but living traditions.

For this retreat, we are deeply honored to welcome Mama Marlene, an elder of the Sacha Wasi community, whose presence carries the wisdom, strength, and spirit of this lineage. Her visit to Cuenca represents a true meeting of worlds-where the voice of the Amazon arrives with prayer, medicine, and ancestral guidance.

This is not simply an experience. It is an invitation to rememberto reconnect with something ancient, something true, that already lives within you.
